If your teeth are crowded, the spaces between them are small, or your bite is only slightly off, it doesn’t mean you have to wear brackets and wires for years. Clear aligners are removable, virtually invisible, and the most popular option for patients looking at aligners in Houston TX. At Smile4Ever Family Dentistry our Houston office on TC Jester Blvd we offer Invisalign for teens and adults with a full plan and timeline before you commit to anything.
Many adults think braces are the only option, or that it’s too late to bother. Neither is true. Clear aligners can correct crowding, gaps, and mild bite problems just as effectively as metal braces without the metal or the food restrictions.
Clear aligners are a series of transparent, custom-made trays that gradually move your teeth. You wear each set for one to two weeks, and with each new tray your teeth inch closer to their final position.
The most popular clear aligner system is Invisalign, and it’s the system we use most at Smile4Ever. There are no brackets or wires. You take the trays out to eat, brush, and floss — which makes them far easier to live with than braces.
Clear aligners can effectively treat overlapping or overcrowded teeth, gaps and spacing problems, mild overbite, underbite, or crossbite, teeth that have moved after previous orthodontic treatment, and minor relapse cases where a retainer wasn’t worn consistently.
If the bite is more complicated, there’s a significant jaw discrepancy, or a lot of tooth rotation is involved, traditional braces or a referral to an orthodontist may be the right call. We’ll be straight with you at your exam about what kind of case yours is.
Most teens and adults are candidates for Invisalign. At your consultation we look closely at your teeth and bite to confirm whether clear aligners can get you the result you want. Good candidates typically have crowded or overlapping teeth, gaps, mild-to-moderate overbite, underbite, or crossbite, teeth that shifted after braces, minor rotations, or cosmetic alignment concerns.
Clear aligners aren’t the right choice for every case. Very complex bites, large jaw discrepancies, some complex tooth movements, or unstable gum health may need a different approach. If Invisalign isn’t a good fit, we’ll tell you why and what other options are available.
1. Free consultation and exam — we assess your bite, crowding, and oral health to confirm you’re a candidate.
2. Digital scans — instead of messy impressions, we use digital scanning to map your teeth precisely.
3. Custom treatment plan — you’ll see a timeline of how your smile will change and roughly how long treatment will take.
4. Receiving your aligners — your custom aligner series is fabricated and delivered.
5. Wearing your trays — you switch to a new set every one to two weeks, wearing each for 20–22 hours a day.
6. Progress check-ins — periodic visits confirm your teeth are tracking with the plan. After treatment, a retainer holds the new position.
The amount of tooth movement required is the main driver of Invisalign pricing. Simple crowding or spacing cases are on the lower end; complex bite corrections cost more. You’ll get a firm quote at your consultation, and we have in-house payment plans and CareCredit for out-of-pocket patients.
Many dental insurance plans with orthodontic benefits cover a portion of Invisalign — usually with a lifetime orthodontic maximum. Coverage varies by plan, so we verify your benefits before you commit. HSA and FSA funds also apply.
Most Smile4Ever patients finish in 6–18 months, though mild cases can wrap sooner and complex crowding or bite correction can run longer. The main factors are how much movement is needed, how difficult the bite is, how consistently you wear the aligners, whether refinement trays are needed, and how your teeth respond to treatment. You’ll have an estimated timeline before starting.
Dr. Abdullah Paracha earned his DMD with honors from the University of Pennsylvania and has been treating patients with Invisalign for years from simple cosmetic cases to complex bite corrections. We use digital scanning to plan your treatment precisely rather than relying on generic timelines.

I was not happy with the level of service at my previous dental clinic, so my husband and I decided to search for a new one nearby. We tried this one first, and I can now say with certainty that we have found our dental home! The atmosphere is welcoming, the clinic is aesthetically pleasing, they use modern technology to give you the best care, and the staff is incredible. The dentist was very detailed about the health of my teeth and I never felt that I was rushed. I 100% recommend them, amazing place and people!Posted on Google![]()

The receptionist at the front Yesenia and Gigi were amazing! They were polite, very informative and thorough. Dental offices make me nervous and they made my experience great. The dental assistant and Dr. were great as well. Very patient, informative and empathetic. I do have to come back to finish my procedure, but they are highly recommended! Overall awesome experience!

Most cases finish in about 6 to 18 months depending on how much movement is required. Mild cases wrap up faster; significant crowding or bite correction takes longer. You’ll get an estimated timeline before you start.
For most mild to moderate cases, Invisalign is just as effective as traditional braces. Very complex bite or jaw problems sometimes still need braces or a referral to an orthodontist — we’ll tell you honestly which category your case falls into.
Invisalign is a great fit for many teens, particularly once most of their adult teeth have come in. Teen aligners include compliance indicators — small dots that fade with wear — because results depend on consistent 20–22 hour daily wear.
Yes. Aligners need to be worn 20–22 hours a day to stay on track. You take them out only for eating, drinking anything other than water, and brushing and flossing.
You’ll feel gentle pressure for a day or two after switching to a new tray. It’s much milder than the soreness after tightening traditional braces, and it settles within 24–48 hours.
In some cases, yes — depending on your current treatment progress. Bring your records to a consultation and we’ll walk through your options.
We make you a custom retainer to keep your teeth from shifting back. Long-term results depend on wearing the retainer as directed usually nightly.
Healthy teeth. Happy smile. Exceptional care you can trust.
